Company History

In October 1991, a company called Software Automation Services UK Limited was founded with the aim of writing automated software within the automotive industry.   Over the years, it became apparent there was a greater demand for IT support in small to medium businesses who did not have (or want) full time IT staff.  With the decline of automotive manufacturers within the UK, we took on this opportunity in 1997 and local businesses finally had the IT expertise they wanted but at a fraction of the cost.

Upon reaching our 18th birthday in 2009, we felt that Software Automation Services UK Limited wasn’t an accurate description of the services we provide and and so we decided to come up with a more descriptive and meaningful name.  The answer was simple; technology is essential in any profitable business, and, that’s how ‘Essential Business Technologies’ was born.

With our up to date knowledge and expertise in supporting SMEs, we are excited to be known as Essential Business Technologies and offering our cutting edge technology so you can focus on running and building the business and leave all the complex IT work to us.
