Buss Murton Law Indulgence Evening
Monday, 23 January 2012 00:00

Back in chilly November, Director of Essential Business Technologies, Linzi (2nd to left of picture), attended an 'Indulgence Evening' at The Trinity Theatre in Tunbridge Wells hosted by Buss Murton Law.  Partner and Head of the Private Client team at Buss Murton, Reshma Field (left of picture), came up with the idea to combine an evening of networking, pampering and fund raising all under one roof and it was a great success!

Attendance was very high by the many local business women and among the indulgences on offer during the evening were massages, facial treatments and shopping!

It was the perfect opportunity to network over a few drinks and nibbles and also enjoy a mini fashion show put on by Love Is Boutique - the fabulous designer and vintage dress agency in Church Road.

The event raised awareness and funds for local charity 'chYps' and us busy working women are already looking forward to the next event in 2012!!

Hospice In The Weald Garden Party
Friday, 15 July 2011 00:00

It may have been a somewhat cold, dreary afternoon in the midst of summer but that didn't stop members of the West Kent Chamber of Commerce & Industry enjoying the beautiful gardens at The Hospice in the Weald in Pembury for a delightful garden party which included a fantastic jazz band, flower arranging and wine-tasting.

Director of EBTechnologies, Linzi, attended the garden party event (in a rain coat instead of a summer dress and straw hat!) and was chuffed to win one of the many fantastic raffle prizes - steak and wine for two at the lovely King's Arms Pub in picturesque Rotherfield.......and very delicious it was too!

We thought you'd like to see a picture of the tasty food rather than our mug-shots on this occasion!!

The Day We Met Sir Bob Geldof
Tuesday, 10 August 2010 11:34

sir bob

At a recent entrepreneurial business event in London, there was no doubt that the speech of the event was that by 'the man who changed the world', Sir Bob Geldof.

Sir Bob, who lives in Kent and runs several successful businesses, presented at the 800 delegate seminar along with other highly successful entrepreneurs, including football's first woman, Karren Brady and the infamous (and very funny) Gerald Ratner who now runs a highly successful online jewellery company.

Chris Meaden, Managing Director of Essential Business Technologies explains, "The build up to Sir Bob's speech was very much focused on his life-transforming actions of the starving in Africa showing various archived TV footage including the LiveAid event which I remember as clearly now as I did 25 years' ago. His presence on stage was something I've never seen before. His speech was intense, passionate and hugely inspiring on so many levels; quite simply it was the most extraordinary speech I've ever heard.

He spoke from the heart about his difficult childhood and of his music ambitions and his immense anger and frustration of the starving in Ethiopia which drove him to take action and do something about it. He truly is a remarkable entrepreneur"

Fellow director, Linzi Cooper, was totally inspired by all the speakers. "What we are living through as business owners in this economy is unprecedented in living memory. By investing our time and money in attending this event, we took away the strength, the belief and the determination to succeed as entrepreneurs regardless of what economic conditions we are in. As Karren Brady said "We need to champion our own careers" and I agree with that statement one hundred per cent".

The Birth of Essential Business Technologies
Thursday, 31 December 2009 00:00

EBT logo

Essential Business Technologies is the new trading name of Software Automation Services UK Limited.

After 18 years of trading under the name of SAS UK, we decided that this was no longer an accurate description of the services we provide and so we decided to come up with a more descriptive and meaningful name.  The answer was simple; technology is essential in any profitable business, and, that’s how ‘Essential Business Technologies’ was born.

We deliver managed IT services at a fixed price to cover many of the needs that a forward-thinking business requires in order to trade successfully in this fast-moving, technology driven environment. We deliver services that protect your business, its reputation, and your employees from the dark side of the internet.

Your business will prosper from the knowledge and insight that we have in technology.  We work alongside you and assist you in achieving your business goals. We do all of this by building an IT business plan that incorporates services and products for particular needs of your business, then wrap up the costs into one easy-to-budget monthly direct debit payments.  Simple!

Location Map

At the beginning of December 2009, we relocated our South East office from Castle Street in the historic town of Tonbridge to the hub of the business community within the beautiful spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells.

Situated in Church Road, nestled among many thriving businesses, we are just along the road from the old cinema which is soon to be redeveloped into something new and exciting! Our location means we are within easy reach of local businesses, with easy access to the surrounding towns and just a 2 minute walk to the station with direct trains to London and our City office.

Our relocation, is just one step towards achieving our growth plan to expand the business and the services we provide to all our clients. We now have 3 offices throughout the UK: Tunbridge Wells (Head Office), Kent; King William Street, London and Highbridge, Somerset. See the 'Contact Us' page for the full addresses.

Essential Business Technologies is looking forward to working with and supporting local businesses and being a key part of the Tunbridge Wells business community.
